Sometimes life seems too quiet. Anger coursed through Kikio's slim body as she burst through the bushes to get into the park. Slowing to a walk, she looked around, making sure no one was watching. Her breathing was labored for she had ran the whole way from Akora's old packlands because she was so ticked off at Akora and her new master Koraris that it wasn't even funny. Satisfied that nobod was watching, she shifted into a black Jaguar and walked off into the green abis. Into paralyzing silence. In about ten minutes, Kikio was already towards the middle of the park. Even with her monstrous sized paws, she made no noise as she crept over the leaves and fallen twigs that many other people would have broken. She had calmed down and was now thinking about Koraris. Why had he chosen her specificly? Why so quickly? Swallowing, she stepped to the side to avoid a tree. Looking up, she saw the old oak tree that stood strong among all of the foreign tropical trees. It was the only thing really left of her world. Like the moonless dark. Leaping up onto the closet branch, Kikio made her way to the very top and when she reached the branch she always sat on, she shifted back to her normal form and sat down. Staring up at the star striken sky, tears filled her eyes. Kikio was remembering. Her dad's laugh. Her mom's smile. Her friend. Boyfriend. School. Life individualy. Reaching up, she wiped a tear away with the back of her hand. "The only thing normal anymore." she said to the tear. Clentching her jaw, she looked down. The oak tree was maybe five stories up now and it was full of leaves that were a beautiful dark emerald green in the darkness. Reaching out, Kikio plucked one from a small twig and examined it for a few seconds before letting it fall. She watched it as long as she could before it disappeared into the darkness. Meant to make me strong. Kikio stared down to where the leaf had disappeaed. Maybe I can disappear too. she thought. Closing her eyes, Kikio swallowed and stood up. Pulling her slim body up onto another branch that was so thin it creaked with her weight and lowered slightly, she stood gracefully on her feet. Staring at the forgotten city, she smiled and then fell back. At first she fell slowly. Then faster and faster as he momentum built and gravity took control. Keeping her eyes closed, she heard the whizzing of branches by her head. Then, suddenly the fear of dying hit her. Gasping, she grabbed a branch as it passed and it snapped from all of her speed, and she kept falling. Shifting into a clouded leapord, she slapped her paw out and hooked onto the trunk, stopping herself from falling. Word Count- 480

Darkness surrounds even the most pure souls and kills the beating heart.
Koraris looked around at the densely populated and vegetated park. This had been one of his favorite places to think for some time now. Ever since Okami had changed him. Changed his world. It was obvious to him that the hybrids and the others should live in peace. As equals. What wasn't clear to him was why no one else could see this obvious fact. Couldn't they see that the only way we could ever truly be happy is to live together as one? As a family of beings, all created by a greater power?
It watches you from the shadows like a tiger stalking its pray.
S-N-A-P!!!! Koraris's head snapped around, his beautiful blue eyes flashing with the premature change. His blonde bangs fell in his eyes with the velocity of it's spin. He growled low in his throat and raised his nose into the air. After all he was still just an animal. He sniffed once and instantly calmed. His beast disappeared and yet he rushed toward the sound. "Kikio! Kikio Valentyn! Are you okay!? You were falling. Don't tell me you were trying to kill yourself!" he exclaimed, not even really reacting when he saw her Jaguar form. He had guessed all along that there was more to her than it seemed.
Waiting to take you for its own, and taint your very existence.
Finally he came to a complete halt and he stood before the tree that she was clinging to as though her life depended on it, and based on the smell of fear radiating off of it, it had been a life or death situation. "Has your life after Okami really been that bad? I understand what you are going through, and don't say that I don't. We animals were slaves to humans and other creatures long before this ever happened. Even now some of us are still slaves. Slaves to society, slaves to our families and traditions, slaves to your kind. I have met many of my brethren who are still slaves even in this supposed era of animal domination." Koraris said softly, although the anger was clear in his eyes. Would she really have killed herself?! the beast in him roared. He didn't like the idea of this fair maiden dying.
Shed light on that darkness.
He knew that Kikio would probably never like him. She was far too stubborn and righteous for that. Even so he still wished that she would learn to like him. He had felt this connection to her the moment he set eyes on her. Even if she had felt it, she would probably just deny those feelings or misinterpret them as hate or loathing or something bitter. "Is being stuck with me really worse than dying?" he murmured, his head bowed, throwing shadows over his normally bright eyes. The light hit him in such a way that he looked mysteriously handsome, and yet almost like a Gothic God of the night. His blonde hair suddenly seemed less bubbly and soccor snobbish, and looked more dark and seductive.
Win back yourself.
Walking forward slowly, without looking up he walked to her. Once he was beside her he detatched her claws easily from the tough bark of the tree, cutting his fingers on the sharp daggers. He didn't even notice. Not one bit. Looking at her with his beautiful, seductive eyes he murmured, "You may think there is no reason to live. But if not for yourself, then live for the ones who would be hurting if you were to die." he said harshly, turning from her as soon as she was removed from the tree.

Familiar breath of my old lies. Kikio, even though hearing Koraris's voice, didn't detach herself from the tree. She kept her enormous paws latched on and her head tucked close. Her pale eyes were still clentched together, making her look like she was completely black. When he asked her if she was trying to kill herself, she growled. "Was. I chickened out." Kikio snapped in reply. "And I'm fine." Changed the color in my eyes. What he said next made her eyes snap open. "Yes. Actually it has." Kikio growled. Baring her teeth, she clentched her eyes closed as she felt blood pour from her burnt pads. The bark was rough and the heavy descent made it worse. Wincing, Kikio refused to move, afraid the pain would be to much. Glancing over at him, she saw the anger clearly in his eyes. "Don't be mad at my you... you freakin' blonde haired punk. I don't see you having to run arond like a mouse for someone else do I?!" Kikio snapped, temper flaring. Soon he will perforate the fabric of the peaceful by and by. Pressing her white forehead to the tree, Kikio grunted and nearly slipped. Digging her claws deeper into the tree, she hissed in pain. Pinning her ears back, she looked back at him. "I wasn't gonna kill myself because of you. No offence but your not worth that." Kikio said rather bluntly. Seeing the way he looked down, she rose what would have been her eyebrow. The way the star's casted light off of his face, hair and eyes, Kikio thought he was actually quite the looker. A long forgotten ripple of warmth rocketed through her body and she perked her ears a little. It had been a long time since she felt the heat of slight desire bleed through her veins. If she was in her skin, a blush would have been heating her cheeks right now. Majorly. Sorrow lasts through this night. Feeling his presence step closer, Kikio looked away from him. His hand encircled her paws and her claws were detached. From the sudden loss in grip, fell back and a high pitched yowl escaped her maw. Falling back, she twisted instinctively and landed on her paws. The pain that electrified her nerves made her shift back and she lay there on the forest floor staring at her hands. The blood was all over her fingers, and she clentched her jaw. "Moron. I was staying there for a reason." she hissed. When he said that if she died, someone would be hurting, she laughed out loud. "Yeah. Who would miss me? A worthless slave who runs errands for arrogant animals that can become human. Your hilarious." Kikio said, in and extremly mocking voice. I'll take this piece of you, and hold for all eternity. Standing weakly on her feet, Kikio's legs trembled and she reached out and rested her weight on the tree, not he feet. Sucking in air through clentched teeth, Kikio closed her eyes in pain. "Why are they doing this to us?" she questioned quietly. Pursing her lips, she looked up at Koraris with sad eyes. For just one second I felt whole. Word Count: 586

Love me.
"Who cares if you chickened out. You were still going to kill yourself." he said angrily. "And you're right. I'm not running around listening to humans who don't even know what they had. No, but I was. And before me, for thousands of years, my ancestors have. We have been nothing but pets and accesories to you humans, and the other creatures too. Don't get me wrong, I'm against inequality, for when I was stuck in only my fur, I wished for nothing but equality. I didn't wish that the humans be spitted and we rule. I didn't want that, because I knew we would take out our revenge on the world if we got the chance." he murmured, his eyes shielded from view by his darkened hair.
Want me.
"Kikio. I've been stuck in a tree plenty of times, and I know from experience if you had stayed there the pain would have gotten worse. It would also get infected." he said softly, looking at her bloody hands. "Believe me. I know I'm not worth killing myself over. I have been told it a million times." he said rolling his eyes. "As for who would miss you..." he broke off, looking her straight in the eyes, with his fierce icy blue ones. "Anyone who ever met you would miss you." he said seriously.
Need me.
"You were always on top, and my race wants revenge for that. For your kind killing us off. Even the Indians, thousands of years ago killed us. Sure, they prayed to their gods, praying for our safe journey into the afterlife, but did that bring us back to life? No, they were still slaughtering us." he said calmly. He gazed back into her hurt, pleading eyes, and he wanted nothing more than to comfort the body in which those agonized eyes belonged to. However, he knew he couldn't. She would never accept him. They were just to different. He could get over that, but she couldn't.
Hold me.
Sighing he looked at her hands and walked towards her. "Will you let me help you clean those up. If you don't do it soon they will get infected, and I promise you that will hurt even more." he said gently. His icy orbs looked straight at her, showing that he just wanted to help. He knew that she didn't want or need it, but Koraris was going to offer it, whether she refused or not. Please don't leave me. [sorry about size] Word Count - 479[/blockquote]

As you flew right through me. Kikio narrowed her eyes. "Yeah. Well guess what. I was only through nineteen years into my life when this happened. Sleep on that tonight." Kikio growled, near white eyes flashing, sparking with anger. "And I'm sorry about your ancestors but think about the people who had nothing to do with that. Like me I was only a teenage girl who had a bright future ahead, then then this happened. Everything. Gone. Tell me how you would feel." Kikio said through clentched teeth, tears streaking down her face. Left alone with only reflections of the memory. Kikio rolled her eyes. "I wasn't stuck. The pads of my paws were burnt to where I had nothing and I didn't want to move to where it would hurt. Again. I wasn't stuck." she snapped irritably. "No. Nobody is. Not just you. I was doing it so I could see my parents again." she said softly. "What, and remember a bad attitude? Real nice." Kikio said sarcasticly, chuckling as she said it. As each minute passed she was getting closer and closer to leaving. To face the ugly girl thats smothering me. "Ok! I get the point! Quit rambling! But think of the people who were trying to stop it! Think of the people who loved animals and tried to save them from poachers! Not all of us are criminals." Kikio said, turning away from him, hiding the tears and staring at her bloodied hands. A flush was heating her cheeks and her body temperature was through the roof from all of the stress rocketing through her body. Sitting closer than my faith. As Koraris walked towards her and asked her if she needed help with her hands, she was about to refuse and recoil as if he were about to hit her, but she stayed where she was. Her feet wouldn't let her move. It felt like someone had strapped cement blocks to her feet, not allowing her to. "I..." A cold sweat broke out on her forehead and her eyes rolled back up into her head. Falling back, Kikio passed out and fell to the ground. He knew each tear before it came. A white blanket surrounded her as she lay in darkness. Kikio's body wasn't functioning, but her mind was. What happened? Am I dead? Where am I? were the questions that ran through her brain like a wheel. Turning and turning. Non-stop.

[sorry, this will probably be short. im still trying to recover from my breakdown after the tornado warning today...]
I use to base my thoughts on others
Eyes flashing to slits as cat instincts momentarily surfaced he shook his head and lept forward, catching her in his arms as she collapsed. His arms wrapped around her waist, and quickly he sank to his own knees and pulled her into his lap. First things first. he thought as he glanced at her hands. Quickly he snarled loudly into the air, and a servant appeared practically out of nowhere. She was a Dimension Demon. Her powers controlled the dimensions and she could skip from one realm to another. She was probably one of his closest friends.
How I looked, how cool I was
Naysumi, that was her name, looked at the unconscious woman in his arms, and her eyes widened slightly. Quickly she turned her white eyes onto Kora. "What happened to her?" she asked calmly, waiting for the story. "I'll tell you when I'm treating her. Would you be willing to get the medical bag from my desk? If not, can you help me chop up my shirt?" he asked quickly. "No need for shirt chopping. I'll be back in a second." she said softly. Her body was sucked inward and she disappeared. Moments later she returned with a medical bag in hand.
The way my hair looked that day and what I wore
Handing it over she waited for an explaination. "I don't know exactly what happened. All I know is that when I got here she was falling from a tree, trying to commit suicide, but she chickened out. She caught hold of the tree, and the skin basically got scrapped off of her hands. That's about it." he said as he started searching through the bag. Quickly he pulled out a bottle filled with a healing solution and a second bottle with a numbing solution. He quickly spread the numbing liquid onto both of her hands, and immediatly after he slathered on the healing fluid. Quickly after that he pulled out some long bandages and wrapped up her hand. Sighing he turned to Naysumi. "Thank you for your help." he said kindly with a smile. "Anytime." she said before leaving.
Now I base myself off a new scale
"What am I going to do with you?" he question softly as he turned to look back at the enthralling girl on his lap. Sighing he pulled her into his arms, and carried her bridal style towards a small pond he knew resided in this park. Once he was there he sat her down on a small patch of grass, her head still in his lap. After all, it was more comfortable than the hard, cold ground. Besides that, he really didnt' mind. He probably wouldn't get a chance to be close to her again. She was far too stubborn when she was awake for that.
I base myself off of a scale of 1 to YOU
Leaning down over her he whispered in her ear, "Kikyo, can you hear me? You are not dead. You are simply unconscious. You fainted. You're hands are treated and healing. Wake up when you are ready." Quickly he retreated back so that if she woke suddenly she wouldn't sit up and smack right into his head. He may be stronger than a human, but a blow to the head would still hurt. "Please wake up....Please learn to accept me. Completely." he murmured probably too soft for her to hear.

[shifting to first person. =]]
I could feel someone touching me. Wait. No. Two people touching me. There's hands fast on mine, putting some goopey stuff on them, then wrapping them in bandages. Furrowing my brows, which I felt too, I tried to rip my eyes open, but they didn't want to cooperate. Banging at the white wall in my mind, I growled in frustration and then just sat there. I felt like an ant. For some odd reason. Like someone had put a glass around me and I couldn't get out. I kept trying and trying but nothing would break the barrier that held me. My hands began to feel slightly better, and I knew that they were healing. Pursing my lips, I flipped the hood on my jacket over my head.
Now remember. I'm not doing this externally, this is all inside my mind. I can feel everything thats happening to me externally though. Standing up, I once again charged at the white wall and slammed my fists into it. They shook, but didn't crumble and fall. Narrowing my eyes, I plopped back down. Suddenly, I felt my body being lifted, and my head drooped back, my long blue hair tumbling over the arm supporting my neck. I knew who was carrying me. It was Koraris. Oh you just wait until I wake up you worthless bas.tard. Your gonna get it. Kikio growled. Pacing like a pent up tiger, she continued to glare at the wall.
My attention was caught again when I heard somebody whispering in my ear. Koraris's voice filled my head and he was telling me what I already knew. He was telling me that I could wake up when I was ready. I was ready, my body just wasn't letting me. He moved away and then said something else, but it sounding like it was muffled, so I only heard a mush of words. Suddenly, the wall burst open and my eyes externally shot open. I was looking straight up at Koraris's throat and jaw, my head in his lap.
Sucking in air, my cheeks turned red with anger and my fist flew up, catching him right beneath the jaw. Leaping up, my cloak fluttered around my slim body as I moved a few feet away. "What the hell were you doing?" I snapped, my white eyes narrowed. Rage coursed through my body, making my hands shake. My face went pale and a fire was shooting beneath my eyes, refecting upon them and into sight of anybody that looked hard enough. I knew he was probably trying to be a gentleman, but I didn't like it. He should have just let me lay on the ground.

Koraris growled in surprise as he felt a muscled hand connect with his jaw. Lifting his hand he rubbed his jaw and cracked it back into place. "Ouch." he said while rubbing it, although his voice was insanely light. Standing up he brushed himself up and smiled at her. "Welcome back to the top side." he said knowing that it would probably infuriate her more. She was just as stubborn as a common mule, and even in this new age they were still just as stubborn as they were when they walked on for legs and stank like their own sh.it.
Cracking his neck he chuckled again. "You've got some muscle in ya, jeez." he said aloud. Lifting his hand he ran it through his gorgous blonde hair and his blue eyes shimmered, reflecting the fire in Kikyo's eyes. The light still happened to hit him in a way that seemed just a bit unnatural, and made him look more dark and mysterious than soccor prep.
"What was I doing? Let's see. I healed your hands with the help of a friend, and then I brought you here so that manage to get the mud out of your hair, and then when I was done with that, as much as I know how stubborn you are, and how much you probably wouldn't appriciate it, I didn't want you to have to rest your head on the hard ground what with you being unconcious and all, so my lap was the next best thing. Plus I didn't exactly want you to get all dirty again after I washed your hair free of dirt already." he said simply shrugging.
"Don't worry, if something ever happens to me, I don't expect you to do the same. I expect that you'll just leave me lying on the ground or something." he added simply, his voice still light. As much as it hurt him, because he knew that was exactly what she would do, since he knew that she wouldn't do the same for him, it made it easier on him because he wouldn't be disappointed later on. His hurt didn't show, in fact it was barely even there on the inside. She hated him, despised him, and wanted nothing to do with him, and if he were hurt she would use that chance to escape, it was all quite simple. Clean cut, really.

I see nothing in your eyes. Watching as he rubbed his jaw, she narrowed her eyes. I hope it hurt. I muttered to myself in my head. A slow smirk of pride crossed my perfect set of pale lips. Flipping her cloak hood up over her head, hiding her appearance from him. Turning on her heel, she walked a little ways away to stand over the pond's edge. And the more I see the less I like. When he said that I had some muscle in my, I turned to look at him, my smirk growing into a warning smile. "I know. So don't screw with me. OK?" I said, meaning everyword that flew from my mouth. Turning to stare at the pond again, I watched as fish swam around, searching for food, and trying to survive in their watery enviroment. Glancing at him over my shoulder, I noticed the way he looked, but thought nothing of it. Is it over yet? As he explained what all he did, I began walking away before I got myself into trouble. I continued listening to him, trying to block out his voice, but it wasn't working. It seemed to break through every single barrier that I put up so I put my hands up over my ears, but it didn't stop what I heard next. Turning, a flare of anger flew into my eyes again. In my head? Storming towards him, I had my fists clentched. "Oh so now your making me sound like some heartless b.itch! You probably think it too. You also probably think that too because you've got girl slaves that would probably kill themselves for you. No?" When I finally reached him, my face was only two inches away. I could feel his breath in my face and it was cool, with a soft tint of alcohol on it. A breeze lifted my long hair and fluttered it about my shoulders and across my face, some of the strands that would be my bangs floated forewards and brushed against his cheeks. Thats how close we were. I know nothing of your kind.

Koraris's beautiful blue eyes turned blank and as cold as sheets of ice as she drew closer to him. It was his defense mechanism. He liked her, and to have her so close to him was just cruel in his eyes, so he had to block out all emotion to keep himself together. "No. I do not think of you as a b.itch. You are the one who said it, not me. But tell me truthfully. If I was injured, would you take care of me. Well, would you?" he replied harshly.
"As for my so called slaves, no. None of them would die for me, and I don't want them to. There might be one who would consider it because we were best friends before all this happened. I know what you are thinking, how could a human or anything of that sort be friends with an animal, well, he was a neko, and he could talk to beasts. He was my greatest friend, and once this occured I fought for him because I didn't want him to have to be treated like dirt, but hopefully he wouldn't give his life for me because he knows that I wouldn't want that." Koraris added after a moment.
His face had become impassive and unemotional, making him look even more dark and withdrawn. "Oh, and if you were a heartless b.itch, then pain wouldn't hurt you. You'd thrive from it, and you wouldn't care what I would think, now would you?" he asked in a mere cold whisper.
From his position right in front of her, he stared her straight in the eyes. He wouldn't back down. To his kind getting this close was a challenge, and even though he no longer ran by the old laws, if he backed down, then how could he ever hope to win her love? Her affection? Her respect? Simple, he couldn't.

I won't reveal your evil mind. I saw the cold look that entered his eyes as he looked at me. At least he wasn't being a smarta.ss now. As he asked me that questioned, I searched his eyes for a few seconds. "If it was a minor injury no. You could take care of yourself. I think your a big enough boy to do that. Major injury, then yes. I would, if I had to." I said truthfully, but I was still spitting fire. Is it over yet? Listening to his speech, I continued to stay inches away. I would wait until he backed down, and we could stand there all night, the next day, the day after, a week, a month, or even a year. I wasn't moving. Not replying to all that, I only kept my eyes narrowed, blinking as my hair blew gently across my face, giving me a more seductive appearance that didn't happen very often. I can't win. What he said next actually made me snicker. "Hm. Interesting. Last I heard, pain is felt even to the toughest. They just don't show it. They don't thrive on pain, they just say it to make themselves look tougher. Maybe some don't care what people think, but some do and they just chose not to show they care." Fixing my stance to where our bodies were now only inches apart. I was slightly crouched that made us slightly further apart than how I was standing now, completly straight. So sacrafice yourself. From behind his emotionless mask, Koraris saw that she would never back down, and since he didn't want to stand here for the rest of the life, so darn close to her he knew that he'd either have to back down or get her to back down. So, she'd take care of me, would she. That doesn't make me feel any better. he thought simply. "That may be true with some creatures, but I have met plenty of people who do thrive on pain and really don't care at all about what others think or say about them." Koraris replied coldly.
Stupid wind. I'm having enough difficulties being this close to her, must you make her even more sexy? Seriously, what did I ever do to you?! he thought angrily from deep down inside himself. His own luscious hair was blowing gently in the gentle wind, and the light was flickering as the branches moved, causing him to look rather god-like himself.
When Kikyo crouched down slightly, Koraris noticed that that moved her away slightly, and he relaxed slightly. That was his downfall. Well, actually, relaxing wasn't his problem. His problem was that Kikyo was so busy paying attention to him and fueling her own fire that she wasn't paying attention to anything but how to annoy him more.
As Kikyo talked he heard a wizzing sound, and his mask evaporate as he snapped his head upwards. His eyes widened as he saw the arrows almost close enough to pierce through her back, right into her heart. Without thinking he leapt around her, and spun her so that she was no behind him, with her facing his back as the arrows buried themself inside his own chest. Kora shuddered and hissed in pain, but kept himself quiet. He staggered slightly as blood poured in increasingly large amounts down his chest.
His slightly cloudy blue eyes looked around for the archeror. The moment his eyes latched onto the few people who had shot the arrows a few of his 'slave' friends appeared and attacked them, but they were only holograms, and they couldn't see him, so they couldn't stay longer then to destroy the shooters. Using all his strength, Koraris kept himself for the most part upright. "Are you okay? None of the arrows hit you, did they?" he questioned weakly.

Let me have what's left. I stood there, unmoving until he jumped behind me, and the whizzing caught in my ears. The sound of a blade piercing flesh made my stomach churn. Turning, I looked to see Koraris with blood pouring down is chest. My eyes widened to an incredible size and my mouth opened slightly. "Oh... Jesus." I whispered, my eyes never leaving the flags of the arrow. My hands raised slightly and I hesitantly touched his colar bones. "I have to get help..." I began, panic slightly in my voice. I know that I can find, a fire in your eyes. Gently, I pressed against his shoulders for him to sit down. "Sit down, and I sware, if you touch those arrows you'll be in for much worse." I snapped, worry plain in my eyes, and I wasn't bothering to hide it. Turning, I took off running and as I did, shifted into a cheetah and continued running, my speed increasing with each stride. I'm goin' all the way. Sprinting into town, I leapt through a window to a healing shop. Shifting, I ran up to the main healer and told her what had happened. In a haste, she gave me all of the supplies I would need and put them in a pouch. Slinging it over my shoulder, I paid for it with what small money I had found and took off back towards him. Get away please. Sliding to a stop before him, I slung the pouch down and then pulled out everything. The herbs were already mashed together and all I had to do was get out the arrows. "Ok. This might hurt a little." I whispered. Reaching down, I grabbed one and with one, quick flick of my wrist, I pulled one out. Quickly getting the rest out before grabbing a dagger out of my boot and slicing his shirt up the front. Pulling it away, I threw it aside and then applied the medicine. Once I did that, I sat him foreward and wrapped the white wrap around his torso. "Are you ok?" I asked gently, leaning him back against the tree again. You take the breath right out of me.

She actually seems worried. Koraris thought idily as he watched her run off in a panic after the arrows had pierced his flesh. At least she's okay. he thought quietly as he closed his eyes, trying not to think of the blood pouring steadily from his chest. It wasn't that it made him quesy or anything, but it was rather gross, and besides he was already light headed from losing so much blood, and he didn't need to actually look at it to know that it was bad.
When she returned, he heard her approach before he actually laid eyes on her. When he saw her in one piece and that she had returned to him relief was clear in his face, but when she grabbed the arrow he exhaled, making a hissing noise. Just touching it hurt, but he wasn't complaining or telling her to leave it. Leaving it would definitally be worse. It just hurt. Well, actually it didn't hurt all that bad, it was just the knowledge of knowing that in a moment he would be experiencing intense pain.
When she pulled the barbed arrow from his chest his eyes flashed yellow, but he kept his lips pressed close together, not allowing himself to yell, or rather roar, out in agony. Each time she yanked the dagger like stick from his skin he winced, but no sound came from him. The moment she had applied the medicine he exhaled deeply and unclenched his hand, just now realizing that it had been in a fist, and that his nails had turned into claws and had cut into his palm. He simply took part of the scraps of his shirt and wrapped two long thin pieces around both of his palms.
Turning to look at her, his eyes locked with hers, and as they cloudiness disappeared from his eyes, his orbs showed just how grateful he was. "I wouldn't say that I'm okay, but I'm much better now. Thank you...For coming back." he said softly. He tried to sit up a bit more, but he winced as he adgitated his wounds, and a little bit of blood could be seen now on the wrap, so he stopped moving.

You left a hole where my heart should be. I had no idea what to do now. Taking a step away from him, I turned around and stared up at the sky. Thoughts of what to do ran through my head. Then, one clicked. Run. I leaned foreward as I was about to spring, but I stopped myself. He could die... Afterall, he had never done anything to hurt me. Looking back at him, I turned to face him, pursing my thin set of lips, wondering what to do now. You gotta fight just to make it through. Finally thinking of something, I knelt down to look him straight in the eyes. "If you tell me where your home is, I will help you there." I said softly, meaning every word. The only reason I wasn't being snippy, is because he was hurt. If he wasn't, he would have had to drag me kicking and screaming to his home, because I wouldn't go. Standing up, I offered my hand to him, allowing him to use it to get up. 'Cause I will be the death of you. ooc// Told you it would suck.
