Hard, unfiltered sadness appeared in his eyes as he saw her turn around. He saw how her muscles tensed and he knew that she was about to run. Surprisingly, her muscles suddenly relaxed and she turned towards him with a peculiar expression on her face. She's not going to run. he realized suddenly as it hit him. She was afraid that he would die. She was actually afraid that he, Koraris, who she seemed to despise, would die. It was....to say the least..mind blowing.
When Kikyo knelt down next to him, his crystal blue eyes met hers as she looked him straight in the eyes. Shock registered on his face as her words finally sunk in, and he blinked several times as she stood up and offered him her hand. He smiled slightly and took it with his own large hand, pulling himself up. He ignored how his chest screamed at him and made no sound as he got to his feet.
"Thank you." he said, only a little bit of his pain apparent in those two words. "I live on West Mamela Street. You probably passed it earlier when you ran off to get help." he said, forcing the pain out of his voice this time. He smiled softly down at her this time. She was being very kind to him, and that made him very, very happy, and although he knew that the moment he was better she would probably go back to her old stubborn self, and she would probably hate him again, he would enjoy it while it lasted. Please let it last.

This will be all over soon. As I touched his hand, and he touched mine, I felt an odd electrical current flow between us. Snatching my hand away, I swallowed and didn't look up. Confusion I know masked my face, hiding most of the thoughts that were running through my mind. Shaking my head, I moved to his side and put my arm around his waist and his arm across my shoulder. Since our heights weren't much different, it was easier for the both of us. Pour salt into the open wound. Walking towards West Mamela Street, I felt the skin on my hands begin to scab over. It was a weird feeling and the skin began to crawl, itching and making me nearly go crazy. Glaring at both of my hands, I bit my lip to keep from doing something rash. Soon, the feeling became unbearable and I lost it. Releasing him, I walked away a few feet and scratched them. Sighing in relief, I smiled sheepishly. It was a good thing my back was turned to him and my hood was up so he couldn't see my facial expression. Walking back over, my expression went blank and I put my arm back around his waist and his arm over my shoulder to ease him foreward once more, not saying anything. Is it over yet? [/size]

Shock crossed Koraris's face as the electricity from their touch ran through his veins, reaking havock with his heart. He didn't know what the feeling was, but he liked it. He was almost disappointed when she let go, but didn't show it. By that time he had gotten himself under control again, and his heart returned to normal as the electricity left his body with the loss of her touch. He looked down at her, his face blank, not sure how he felt about the electric shock that had only revealed itself to him when she had touched his skin with her own.
When she moved to his side so that she could help move him along he smiled down at her slightly, but didn't show how much he appriciated it, or for that matter how much it affected him when she was close to him, or she touched him. 'Cause that hurt more than the holes in his chest. Thousands of times more. When Kikyo suddenly released him and walked away, he staggered in surprise and had to use all his strength to keep from falling over. A second later he had gotten complete control over his legs and he stood up a little straighter as he waited for her to return. If she was going to return that is.
A few moments later she turned around and returned to his side as though nothing had happened. He looked down at her confused. "Everything okay?" he asked concerned, although he didn't think it was anything too important. He smiled easily down at her although it wasn't too bright because he was still experiencing two very different kinds of pain; physical and heartache. Both very different, but still both painful.

I immediatly knew that he had felt the electric shock too. Blushing slightly, I tucked my head inside my hood so nothing on my face was revealed. I did not want to start falling for this guy. I was wanting to hate him. To look at him and think of him as some evil being that is stopping me from being who I truely am. Biting my lip, I apologized quietly to him for almost making him fall before continuig to walk.
Walking to the driveway of his house I froze. "You call this a house?" I questioned, my voice quiet, not playful. Pulling him along, I helped him up the small set of stairs on the front porch and opened the door, knowing it would be unlocked. "Ok, wheres your room? You need rest." I said coldly, so he would listen and not argue. Turning to look at him with my pale eyes, I let my freeze over so he wouldn't dare argue back.

Koraris frowned as Kikyo apologized and hid her face away from him. "You don't need to apologize..." he murmured looking straight at her as they started moving again, at an almost snails pace. They were going that slow. It wasn't that he couldn't go faster, but she was walking that slow. It would have almost been comical, if Kora wasn't in pain from her touching him, and yet knowing that even if she ever felt feeling for him she would deny them by thinking that she had to hate him.
When they came to his house, his face grew sad because he knew that the monstrosity before them would definitally not make her like him more. "No, I don't. My parents bought it for me and then forced me into it." When they were inside and Kikyo turned to him, all hard and closed off, his face grew more sad. Why couldn't she understand that he wasn't a bad guy and that there was really no way that he would or could argue in his current position.
Sighing Koraris removed her arms from his body. "Thank you for your help. I believe I can make it from here though. I don't want to burden you anymore since I know you are only doing this because you feel you need to.." he murmured softly, sadness creaping unhidden into his voice. "The Kitchen is through there if you're hungry, and there is always something to eat. You can have any room with a door open, or none at all, because I'm not going to force you to stay here. Thank you, now excuse me, I'm going to my room." he finished after a moment, pulling himself together for the most part.
Then his body quickly flashed white and he fell forward onto all fours, landing as his true self, in Cheetah, or Chiita, form. Turning he looked at her with his still icy blue orbs before he turned away from her and stalked slowly, for a cheetah and quickly for a human, up the stairs, his wounded chest revealed, with a small amount of blood still dripping from the holes. Once he was at the top of the stairs he continued down the hallway two doors and then stopped, nudging his door open with his black nose. Once he was inside he went to his bed before he transformed back and lied down on top of it, staring up at the ceiling, completely ignoring his wounds.

Listening to his words, my eyes widened slightly. Did he really believe that? Growling as he disappeared up the steps, I clentched and relaxed my fists. I wasn't doing that because I felt that I needed to. I did it because I wanted to. If I didn't want to, he would be still lying on the forest floor, possibly dead by now. I wasn't just going to let him stand there and talk like that, as if he knew me so well. Shifting into one of the most powerful jumpers, the Puma, I shoved off with my hind legs and arched myself over the banister of the staircase. Following his scent to a room, I pushed the door open and walked in. Shifting back, I glared down at him.
"You know, if you truely believe that that was a burden and that I felt as if I needed to help you then your wrong. I did it because I wanted to. So don't say what you don't know because that will set me off faster than anything. See and you can tell your a master because you judge. You think I'm always so closed off and cold, but you know while your in here pouting, think about what could have caused it. My parents dying, my friends dying, my pets dying, the end of all my dreams. So don't you sit in here feeling sorry for yourself when you could be thinking about other things." I said, not really mean, but in a 'you better get it through your head' way. Turning, I shifted back into the Puma and trotted out of the room and leapt off the staircase and out the front door.
Loping around to the back of the house, I wasn't paying attention and nearly fell into a pool. Yowling in suprise, I backed up and walked around it. Stopping when I reached the center, I rose an eyebrow. I hadn't been in a pool since the sun died. Letting my body shape into a white tiger, I backed up and then took a headlong dive into the water. The surface broke as my body sliced through the water and I blew out my nose so it wouldn't burn. Paddling my way back up to the surface, I let my head break through and I gasped for air. I didn't realize that I had shifted back and I laughed, letting the water roll down my face. Ducking back underwater, I swam rather quickly other to the five foot and stood up, leaning against the wall.

Koraris blinked in surprise as Kikyo suddenly appeared in his view. He heard every word she said and let it sink in. Even though she had said it in an almost harsh way, he smiled. That made him happy, very, very happy to hear that. She did in some way like him, and she knew it, and that was why she acted that way sometimes. If he hadn't still been recovering from his wounds he would have done a summer[sp?]-salt, or a flip in the air, or danced, or just something! She was wrong though, he hadn't been pouting. Not at all. He hadn't gotten ahold of himself by that time, and had been daydreaming about something very different.
A few moments later he heard the most beautiful sound in the world. He heard Kikyo's laugh, and he felt as if he had been touched by an angel, or blessed by God or something. His heart did a little flip before he chuckled slightly to himself. Pulling himself out of bed he wrapped his chest up again with a new vigor, and once he was wrapped up securely he left his room, in much better shape than before. Much, much better shape. Now that his heartache was gone, he could deal with the physical pain of his wounds. It was almost like they weren't even there.
Soon he was at the poolside, and he stood feet away from her. He looked down at her with an unknown emotion on his face. "So, I judge, huh? Let me ask you something, Kikyo, did you not judge me time and time again when you met me, and then again everytime we have met or talked? Kikyo, all people judge, just because I judge too, doesn't make me a master, I'm a master, as you call it, because of how I was born. None of this is or was my fault, and you know it, so stop making it sound like you lost everything because of something I did." Koraris began slowly, his voice almost void of any emotion.
"See, obviously you can still be happy. You can still laugh. Oh, and just so you know, I wasn't pouting. For your information, I was daydreaming about a nice piece of steak. Apparently, getting shot many times in the chest makes a person hungry. Go figure." he shrugged, his voice light now. Not really knowing what to do, he turned to walk away.

I only blinked, looking up at him. "Yes. I know I do judge, but its not intentionally. I do it to protect myself from hurting myself, if you can understand that. No, I'm not making it sound like that, I'm just putting a point out there. I gave Akora the same bulls.hit as I'm giving you and still would be, so don't get used to me talking to you like this." Turning, I swam over to the steps and walked up out. Pulling my long blue hair over my shoulder, I squeezed as much water as I could from it.
"Oh I know I could still be happy. I know I can laugh." I said, looking at him with my white eyes. A low snicker of mockery erupted from my throat. "It seemed like you were. Lying in bed staring at the ceiling like the world was about to end." I muttered chuckling and shaking my head. Then I stopped. A hurt expression masked my face almost instantly. I was just joking with him the way I used to joke with my friends. I breathed in deeply and bit my lip.

Turning to look at her, his eyes were void of emotion once more. "And why do you think I judge? For fun? You're not the only one who has to protect themself from hurt. Oh, and don't worry, I won't expect this." he replied simply. He watched her quietly as she wrang the water from her hair and he stood and did nothing. "I'm happy to see that you know you still have that ability." he murmured, still looking at her.
"Yes, well, if I don't get some steak, the world will end." he chuckled. Immediatly he stopped when he saw her expression change almost instantly. He took a few steps towards her, but his 'relationship' with her was rather shaky and...the boundrys weren't known yet. "Are you okay?" he asked softly, once he was at her side. He looked down at her caringly, but not in a way that would scare her away, but in a way that showed he didn't want her to be sad or hurt.

Feeling his presence come to my side, I glanced up and attempted to give him the 'I'm ok' smile, but it didn't come. "I'm fine. Just some painful memories." I whispered, deciding to lie. "Why don't you go eat. You need the strength." I said, turning and taking a few steps away, giving myself some space. I would probably just sit out here for the rest of the evening before finding a room to sleep in.
Pulling off my boots and socks, I walked over and stuck my feet in my water. Staring at my reflection, the thought actually crossed my mind. What if we could actually be friends? Me and Koraris? Raising an eyebrow, I actually considered it. It was a really good possibility that I would try.

Koraris knew that she was lying but decided to leave it. "Okay, if you're sure." he murmured. "I'm here if you need me, okay?" he said, before turning to leave. Once he was in the kitchen he grabbed the biggest piece of steak he could find and began eating it ravenously. He chuckled at himself while he ate. He was acting like a pig. If his parents saw him, they would think he was a disgrace. Oh well. he thought evily. Let them come. he thought.
Once he was done eating he drank a soda and then he stood up, still ignoring his wounds. They didn't really bother him all that much anymore. All he cared about was Kikio was starting to open up to him a little.

Kikio kicked her feet back and forth, letting small waves surround the small curve of her calves. Sighing, she laid back and stared up at stars. It was so weird, how such far away things could light the whole earth. At least the moon was still there. If she lost that, she didn't know what she would do with herself. Standing up, she dried off her legs with her cloak and walked inside.
The inside of the house was dark and Kikio couldn't see anything. Walking over towards what she thought would be the stairs, she ended up smacking right into a wall. Stumbling back, she fell on her bottom side and blinked. "Woah." she mumbled shifting herself up onto her feet. Turning, she saw someone stand in what looked like the kitchen and she had no idea who it would be. Kikio though Koraris would be done eating by now and probably went up to his room, so she didn't know who this could be.

Koraris turned quickly when he heard someone run into something. He blinked in surprise when he saw Kikio on the ground. Kikio? he thought with raised eyebrows. Walking slowly towards her he chuckled when he was close to her. Reaching our he took her gently by the arm, letting her know it was him. "I see you haven't acquired your night eyes yet." he said lightly.
Then he led her easily up the stairs. Walking her over to the wall he flicked on the light switch so that she would be able to see. Well, after her eyes adjusted that was. "There ya go." he said with a smile. "Night." was all he said before he walked down two doors and entered his room. "Try not to run into anymore walls!" he called softly from his room, a smile could be heard in his voice.

Kikio didn't show any relief when she found out that it was Koraris. Chuckling and rubbing the back of her head, she followed him over to the stairs. "Thanks." she said and watched him go to his room. Hearing him, she rolled her eyes. "Jerk." she muttered playfuly as she walked towards a room that seemed to be open.

ooc// need to make the post at least 100 words, hun. plz and thanku
bic// Kora's chuckle could be heard from within his room when he heard her. He knew that she was just joking. It was quite obvious, actually. Walking over to his bed he sat down on it with one leg crossed and one straight. He unwrapped the bandages from his chest and applied new ones before he stood up again and walked over to his balcony. He stood at the edge and looked out at the world around him. His view was perfect. He felt like he could see the whole world, and he loved it.
Smiling he walked back inside and closed the balcony doors, before he got back into bed, flicked off the light switch next to him and closed his eyes. He just realized now how tired he was. It was probably also the meat talking. Yum...meat...no way was he ever going to go vegan. Nope. No way. Not in the least. You must be crazy if you think he's going to become a vegetarian.
