Kikio wasn't suprised in the least bit by his question, and she had been working up and explanation. "Whenever I first saw Akira all over you, I felt the biggest wave of jealousy swim through my veins and I couldn't stand it. Whenever you looked at me, my heart started to race and I became self concious. Whenever we talked, I just wanted you to shut up and hold me... That was when I realized that I knew you were the one. The one I was falling in love with. I just knew." she said, not breaking the eye contact between them.

Her explaination shocked him. She had been seriously thinking that one over. It was a very good answer. He was....speechless. His arms came around her waist one more time as he looked down at her lovingly. "Well that.....that was a very good answer." he said, his voice tender. Lifting her up easily, he held her as he pressed his lips to hers once again. This was so easy, their love. Just a natural thing. Perhaps this was why the whole Okami thing happened. So that he could be with her. I don't deserve her. She's a human. A wonderful, beautiful human girl, and I am nothing but an animal. he thought sadly, although he didn't let it show.

Kikio smiled and wrapped her arms tightly around his neck, kissing him back. Running her fingers through his hair, she pulled back slightly. "Ok. I lied." she said, playing serious. "I only love you for your hair." she said playfully. Kissing his jaw line softly, she trailed kissing up to the side of his mouth. "Phsyc." she murmured against his lips.

Koraris growled softly at her, but it was only playful. No threat behind the sound at all, or anger for that matter. "Hey, I don't blame you." he joked, chuckling softly. His eyes darkened just a fraction at her teasing but he smiled. Rolling his eyes he moved one arm from around her, after lowering her back down to the ground, and ran it through her own hair. "Yeah, you love my hair when you have hair like this?" he responded playfully.

Kikio laughed softly. "I really don't like this color. My hair used to be blond. Blonder than yours. See... Look." Pulling out her phone, she opened an old photo album. Taking in a slow breath, she opened up the file. It was an album of her senior year. The first pictures were her senior pictures. Her hair was long, down below her shoulder blades and it was wavy but striaght. It was a gold blonde, kind of like Jessica Simpsons if you knew who she was. Her eyes were a beautiful emerald green, shining with happiness. As she continued clicking through the pictures, her senior trip pictures came up. Her and her friend were there, hugging each other and laughing. Staring at the brunette, tears welled in her eyes and Kikio broke down. Her knees crumpled and she sat there, crying. "I miss them so much." she cried, clutching the phone to her, as if hugging the girl in the picture.

Koraris looked at the pictures curiously, but he had a feeling this wasn't going to end well. Before he could stop what he knew was going to happen by taking the phone from her, she had found the picture. The picture of one of her old friends. One of her best friends. As expected as it was he couldn't catch her before she was seated on the ground. Kneeling beside her he pulled her into a hug and held her to him quietly. There was nothing he could say. Really. All he could do was help her ride out this wave of grief without making it worse. Her tears hurt him, each one cutting like daggers. It hurt that he couldn't save her from this grief, that he couldn't hold it back or stop it, or make it so that it had never happened. "Kikio.." he whispered sadly.

Kikio cried into his chest, her shoulders shaking roughly. It was the most shes cried. Ever. She didn't understand. Understand why everyone had to die like that. Why couldn't they have just lived? After about twenty minutes she was only sniffling and laying lifelessly against him. "I'm sorry..." she whispered, feeling that she had just ruined their moment together.

When her crying finally stopped, his body relaxed just a bit. Her pain still cut into him, but at least she was crying like that anymore.."No. Don't be. It's not your fault. It's not your fault." he chanted. But it is mine. Mine and all this Okami business. he thought guiltily...painfully. He knew it wasn't really his fault, but he was in a way 'part' of it. He hadn't asked for the change, or wished for it, and although it had brought them together, it had ripped her apart. "Don't be sorry." he whispered as he kissed her forehead gently.

Kikio nodded and sniffled. Standing up, she tucked her hair behind her ear, keeping it away from her face. Turning her cell phone completely off, she put it back into her pocket, hiding it from view. Grabbing his hands, she pulled Koraris to his feet. Not releasing his hands, she looked down and breathed slowly for a few moments until she was calm. "So what shall we do. I don't want to sit around all day like a bump on a log." she said, trying to lighten the sad mood that hung around them now.

Koraris smiled softly at her effort. "Whatever you want to do. I'm up with anything." he said simply. His eyes were forcefully unsaddened. "We can go harasse my parents. I've always found that fun. The last time I did it, I was with an Invisa- Demon. He loved it. I'd see something that would be good, then he would turn invisible and make things float and move, he really had fun with that. My parents were so angry. It was actually kind of funny." he chuckled. He wasn't a mean person, but that didn't mean that he didn't play tricks on people if he had the right company. That much was obvious to anyone who knew him.

Kikio smiled and wrapped her arms around his slim waist, burying her face into his chest. "You smell good." she murmured. "I think me and you should just take a walk." she said, pulling back to look at him. Blinking her eyes, she turned and something caught her eye in the reflection of the metal pole on the steps. Green. Grabbing her cell phone, she looked at her image in the mirror back. Her eyes were a faded green, the pupil starting to blacken. "My eyes." she said, touching her cheek right below her eye lid. "Hm." she murmured. Putting her cell phone back in her pocket, she turned to him and took his hands in hers. "Ready?"

Koraris smiled and held her tightly against him. "Sounds good to me. A walk would be just fine." he said softly, still holding her. 'My eyes.' Looking down at her he saw the green shining back at him. They were turning back to their original colors. She was changing back to how she was before Okami. Maybe he was doing something right. "Yeah. Let's go. Where do you want to go? Just in the woods?" he asked with a smile. He couldn't get enough of her, and he didn't care what she looked like. He was in love with her, not her looks.

"A walk in the woods sounds lovely, and lets walk it as humans." she said softly, connecting their hands. Stepping foreward, she pulled him with her and saw someone staring out the window. Well. Two people. His parents. They had a disgusted look on their faces and they were glaring menacingly at her. "Well... At least I don't have to worry about impressing your parents, they already don't like me. At all." she said, giggling.

"What did you expect? Really? Did you think that just because I like you that they would accept you? Face it, those two don't like anyone, never did. They don't like their territory invaded upon." he said softly. He squeezed her hand slightly as they began to move into the woods. "And, since they don't like you, I'm not even going to ask you to be nice to them. I suppose they don't deserve it." he said quietly. He himself, always tried to be nice to them because he thought that everyone deserved some form of kindness.
